Thanks Laing for a favour the previous evening, discusses his forthcoming book, Heliconian including the period the collection should cover saying he wishes it to stop before reaching Dryden and his contemporaries. Includes a quote from Hazlitt, mentioning Pope, and says his work shall begin with Surrey and Wyatt.
